NIGHTMARE: Black Dust Everywhere
DO NOT BUY — Velvet coating disintegrates into black dust and stains. I opened the box on my kitchen island to lint roll/wipe them down and, within minutes, the black flocking turned into a fine powder that coated my counters, sink, and floor and even left stains. It took hours to clean up. I can’t imagine the people who purchased and throw them right in their closet with their fresh clothing. I’ve used velvet hangers for 15+ years and know they can shed a little. These didn’t “shed”—they disintegrated. I was shocked by the glowing reviews, but after digging deeper I found plenty of negatives describing the same issue. Don’t be fooled by the aesthetics or price. These are going right in the TRASH. Bottom line: Save yourself the headache and skip these.
