Q: Can the shade on the lamp be changed?

A: Yes all of our lamps are interchangeable with other shades. This specific style shade uses a spider fitter, So you would just need to make sure the lamp shade is compatible with that. The easiest way to know that a shade is compatible with a spider fitter is if the wires are on the top of the shade.

Q: Is there anything I can do to stop the coating from coming off? Has the problem been fixed so I could replace it? I took it out of the box but haven't removed the tag or plastic wrap on the shade.

Since you have not removed the tag or plastic wrap, the best option is to request a replacement or return through the retailer, as attempting to repair or seal the coating yourself could void the warranty.

manufacture of product has errors
I absolutely love the look of these lamps! that said, buyers should be aware that the product is not manufactured correctly. when you screw the saddle into the lamp firmly, the turn on switch is not properly aligned 180 degrees from the lamp cord. the only way to get the switch properly aligned is to unscrew it until it is aligned, which means the saddle is now loose from the lamp body.

The white chips off easy.
The lamps are pretty, and as pictured, however the quality is poor. The vase arrived with chips all over. It seems like it wouldn’t be that hard to damage. Since the cord only comes out one spot, it’s not like you can just turn and hide the chip either depending on where it is. I’ll attach a photo for reference.

Ordered this online and it’s definitely slightly different from pictures. In pictures it looks sturdy and cool, in person it’s very very fragile. The more you touch it the more the coating/paint will start to come off! It makes a whole mess when unwrapping. Like it’s falling apart already as you take it out of the box! Something about the quality is not right here

My lamp arrived intact. The texture and color of the terracotta is so beautiful that it reminds me of art. It doesn’t include a light bulb, good thing I have extra spares to test it out. I inserted a daylight bulb and it works fine with no problem. It lights up my dining room beautifully! I matched this lamp with my farmhouse decor and placed it on top of my buffet server table and it’s a gorgeous touch!
