Made with remains lit technology, if one bulb burns out or breaks, the rest of light string remains lit. If the temperature is very cold, the lights might need to warm up for a bit before they will twinkle .If they are still not twinkling after warming up, you may have a different item than this one. Similar Box, vastly different performance
The photo shows two boxes of what appear to be the same light sets. However, they are 4 years apart, and have different UPCs. The older set, on the left, has a set of flicker bulbs, that flicker truly randomly, that shunt unused power through to the steady bulbs, which causes them to randomly brighten and dim in a candle light effect. The newer set has flicker bulbs, which flicker at a steady rate, and do not shunt power. this results in a string with a large amount of steady brightness bulbs and a small number of flashing bulbs. The older set is far more visually appealing, and so I caution anyone seeking the old Philips twinkling bulbs from purchasing these. A shame, as they were some of the last easily acquired ones.

No Twinkle
They dont really twinkle. I bought them for the twinkle effect and they look like normal bulbs. Do not recommend. They also dont plug into my older lights.

i love these! I just wished I could get a bigger box! the twinkling effect is adorable and they're a lovely warm tone, not too white!
