Disappointing light

The pictures make it seem like the light comes from the edge, but it actually comes from the back and does not throw the light forward but out to the sides. Defeats the purpose of having a light on the mirror. Also, if you install an outlet behind it like suggested and what I did, the mirror will not sit flush against the wall due to the plug sticking out so far. They should have used a flatter plug. Super disappointing.
