2 Drawer International Lux Lateral File Cabinet Sindoori Mango - Sauder

This file cabinet was WAY better looking and quality than I expected. Went together perfectly (nothing like an ikea product) although it took me 6 hours with 30 minutes of that time needing a second set of hands. It's super heavy and sturdy - even has a safety feature that does not let you have both drawers open at same time.

I was really excited about this filing cabinet but it arrived damaged. It was so heavy and out unboxed already by the time I notice the giant crack on one of the boards. That was very disappointing to find.

High quality file cabinet. Looks true to photos. Giving 4 stars because assembly was a challenge. If you don’t mind putting in a little effort to put it together, I’d definitely recommend. Looks very nice in my office.

I have purchased several of these lateral files and the desks that go with them for my company since everyone who's received them is very pleased with the style, functionality and craftsmanship. I go directly to the Sauder website since I find that they have the best prices and offer discounts several times a year.

We received the cabinets quickly and we paid to have the assembly done by the Handyman service you provided. We could never have assembled it ourselves. We waited for a couple of months because it was out of stock because we thought the color would be best for our room because it was a lighter look. Unfortunately in real life it is considerably darker without the lighter blonde highlights that show in the picture. In the picture it appears to have a slight sheen but in real life it is a duller matte finsih.

This producte is not quality and the directions on assembly is clear enough but the pre drilled and marked areas are not lined up. The drawers do not fit and it's not usable. We tried several times to adjust it and it does not fit together correctly. We have built several items and this is a lemon for sure. We purchased this as a gift for friends when they moved in thier new office and now we find this item is not usable. We purchased it in the summer and now we are beyond the return date so it's a total loss. I do not recommend this item.

Were using these as nightstands and they are great. Theyre heavy and look nice. Ours arent as vibrant as the picture theres less red in the wood, but they still look nice. They came unassembled- even the drawers so putting them together took hours. Worth it, I suppose.

Took several hours to assemble; assembly diagrams arent clear. Locking components arent well made. The mechanism that keeps the drawers closed became jammed after assembly and had to be destroyed to open the drawer. I was hoping for better quality for $300+.

Puts together well, and looks good. The drawers are to shallow for hanging folders. The plastic heading tags that we have are getting smashed every time we close a drawer even with the hangers tight to the rails. .

I had also purchased the matching L-shaped desk so I may make some of the same comments. I fell in love with the L-shaped desk, but when I saw it had a matching lateral file that was the clincher for me to purchase this set. Although I had just put together some Ikea furniture, I knew this piece was going to be a bit more extensive. Here is what I am going to say. It is going to take some time to put it together. I believe in the end it was approximately 3 hours, but to me it was so worth it! I love this piece and how beautiful and elegant it is. The directions are very thorough and all the screws and bolts are very well labeled. In addition, all the pieces lined up with no problem which made the process even easier. It states you need someone to help you when you put the file into the metal frame. While it took me a bit to get it, I was able to do it on my own. So there is a con to this lateral file. Hanging files in the top drawer that have a label/tab on it hit the drawer itself so it really isn't functional that way which is most likely why you are purchasing a file cabinet. I ended up using my top drawer for storing items and have my hanging files with tabs in the bottom drawer so that works for me as I love the aesthetic of this piece too much. One of things that stood out for me also was the price. It was actually less expensive than the big box retailers and prettier too! Sauder shipped it out fast and the delivery company was lovely to work with also. I am so happy with my purchase from Sauder!

I'm not sure if its the model or this particular brand but it took me literally 3 and a half hour. I had purchased the L-shaped desk and it was a pain putting that together also. I would recommend applying polyethylene clear coat on the wood since it get scratches easily.
