I think I will be very happy with this shade. It was a much easier way to go since the window measurements were not square. You understand it was a Husband put it in window did not measure the same at the top as it did at the bottom or the middle, but this will work out fine.

Good blackout, poor operation
The blind works well as a blackout blind. Easy to cut to size and install. However there is a strong plastic smell from the vinyl, and it is temperamental to pull it up and down to the position you want it to be. Pulling it down to raise it, doesn't always work properly. Overall, cheap and cheerful, but don't expect smooth accurate operation

Arrived quickly but due to deadbeat delivery people it was damaged in two different places warranting it unusable. Target was very quick in refunding my money but not to my bank but to a gift card? Wow; I wanted my money back to purchase another blackout shade but now it is out of stock and bc Target kept my money; so to say; I cannot purchase it elsewhere due to the funds being in a gift card only usable at Target

Blocks morning sun in my bathroom
I am about to order another of these for my second bathroom. It is truly room darkening. The vinyl is so very easy to tear and it is perfect in the way it tears. You can't mess it up. Be aware, however when pushing the metal rod in because I think you should only push in the side with the little round end. The side with the rectangular end is what I pushed and then I could not pull it back out even with pliers. For brackets, if you want the roller to show, position the open ended bracket on the left side of the window. If you want the roller side not to show, then reverse the brackets. To insert the shade, first put the round side of the shade end into the closed ended bracket. Then set the rectangular end of the shade roller into the open-ended bracket. Note: I am providing these directions based on my experience. I will do a better installation on my second attempt using these hints.

The brackets are stupid. They force you to hang it backwards because of the fact that they match each other, not allowing one side to sit correctly unless you hang it so the roll is on the inside of the room where you have to stare at it.
