Q: Does this light adjust up and down? Can you extend it to make it taller for taller plants?

Simple and Sturdy
A nice heavy duty and good quality light for my plants. It looks clean and simple, not too large but really puts out the light. I like that I can adjust the brightness too. I have it in a larger plant with my smaller ones nearby, all seem to be doing well. The hood over the top prevents the light from blinding you and looks nice - no plastic parts! I will eventually be buying a second one. Highly recommend!

More for looks than functionality.
I have finally become so frustrated with this light that I got rid of it. Yes, it looks pretty and yes the light works. There is no built in timer of any type, and if you connect it to a separate timer, it defualts to "off" and does not turn back on again, so there is no way to automate giving a plant light. The pole is NOT adjustable. It is about 16 inches high and that's what you get. Not adjustable at all. Even though it looks like it should expand, it doesn't. The cable is too short for most locations, especially when it comes to hiding cables, so if you're trying to put it in a place to make it look pretty, you usually can't. It's usually not long enough to reach to an outlet from a table or something, and because the height is not adjustable, it's too small to use on a plant that's big enough to be on the floor. So this is only useful for people who want a pretty looking light in a very specific location that still needs to have the ugly controller visible because you have the manually turn it on/off and it can only be a maximum of 4 ft away from an outlet (controller is halfway directly iniddle of cable).

Works well for a plant I have in a dark corner of a room. The light appears white, but there are blue and red LEDs in the light to help provide more of a spectrum for plants. I'm not sure if the stake itself will corrode over time in wet soil, but for now, it's great and seems well made.

Perfect little light
While I do wish it had a timer, it's so cute in our plant that I don't mind. It feels sturdy in our pot and I love that the light can be dimmed as needed. I haven't had it in long enough to see any affects on the plant but even as a night light it's worth getting.

Aesthetically pleasing AND works!
A lot of people are saying this isn’t bright enough, or is only for “decoration” which is just not true. I have had one of these in my marble pothos plant for well over a month now and my plant is doing wonderfully. It’s nowhere near a window, so the lights gotta be doing something. It’s so aesthetically pleasing, too. I’d rather my house not look like a lab with weird red and blue lights everywhere so this is definitely a win.
