A: No, it does not. The $10 version of this (non interactive one) sucks its thumb. My niece got the one that sucks her thumb and now she has picked up that habit so I avoided that one.

My granddaughter loves this baby. It laughs, cries, drinks… it’s her first “real” baby and she hardly puts it down the whole time she’s here. It comes with everything the baby needs, blanket, bottle, pacifier. The bottle has a magnet in the top that makes the baby recognize it’s time to drink. I bought her on sale but I feel she is definitely worth full price as well.

Favorite doll for 2 year old and 6 year old
First want to say - YES this has an off switch. I bought this for my 22 month old daughter and she LOVES it!!! The noises the baby makes cracks her up and she loves giving her baby the bottle and paci. My almost 6 year old daughter loves it so much that she wants one too! The quality is amazing for the price - especially the sale price. This is a new favorite doll in the house. Whether you collect dolls or you’re just looking for a good gift for a kids birthday, this is such a great quality doll for a great price. Target even sells little outfits specifically made for this doll. My personal favorite is the raincoat outfit. It looks and feels like a real raincoat, has cute little pockets to put things in and even comes with pants, shoes, and a shirt! If you have an American girl doll, corolle, or similar doll to that size, the clothing from those dolls also fit this doll. Carters preemie clothing also fit this doll well with a little wash to shrink them a pinch more or even just sewing the neck of the clothing smaller. The zip tie around the neck can be removed and replaced with twine or other string of similar thickness to a zip tie to make the head able to turn like an American girl, Corolle, or other high end doll brand. Fun fact: if you do choose to make the head moveable, or you just happen to open it up to add weight or more stuffing from a different point, you can also add a sound from Build a Bear in it. I added a heartbeat from Build a bear to mine. Yes you can buy the sounds separately and even get a free heart. Personally I wish they made more Gigglescape baby and toddler boy dolls or maybe something more gender neutral. The nurturing doll line and Toddler line only come marketed as a girl so you’d have to invest in more outfits and adjust the hairstyle if you want a boy. Lastly, I’d recommend adding a little bag of glass beads or poly beads for some weight. All in all, still a great doll. Target should be more proud of their product and put their brand on the back of the neck like the fancy expensive doll brands do. A really fun project or gift for anyone.
