It has a remote control to change the heat level as well as artificial flames. Something to keep in mind; it does NOT come assembled. If you like puzzles, it's not a problem because it comes with instructions with illustrations that are clear in my opinion, but my husband says they are confusing, but between the two of us we put it together in 3 hours. And it's worth it because it looks beautiful, practical, and easy to use.

I know this “fireplace” isn’t truly supposed to fool anyone into thinking you have a real fireplace but it’s pretty small/miniature looking. With that said, it would be great for an apartment or small room. It’s cute. Regarding the heat, it is awesome! It really has a great heat output and worked wonderful to quickly heat up a room a couple degrees instead of turning up my thermostat for the whole house, and being able to control it with the remote was great as well. I didn’t think it was that hard to put together, but it is easier with two people and if you’ve ever assembled ikea furniture it really is the same complexity — all you have to do is follow the easy directions step by step. Overall a great product that I plan to keep for now!

I love the flame look of a real fireplace without the worries of soot or smoke. The heat output seems decent and is adjustable. The remote control is great.

The installation was surprisingly easy and I am not very handy at all, although it is a little heavy so you may need some help!

This fireplace heats the room perfectly and is such a pretty statement piece for the living area. Setup was easy, not noisy, and we use this daily during our cold months.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice fireplace! It has the nice façade that makes it feel like it was an original part of your home. The mantel piece on top is wide enough for select game consoles or decor (I estimate about 8-10”), however I would not recommend trying to put a TV on top of it. The fireplace insert comes with either traditional logs, or crystals if you prefer, depending on your taste. You do have to build it, but it took one person about 45-60 minutes to do. The hardest part is the weight of the box it comes in. While this is a good looking fireplace, I’m giving this fireplace 4 stars for two reasons: 1.) The fireplace insert itself has basically no anchoring. There are two small L-brackets for the bottom, but nothing for the top. If you have small children, than can pose a danger as the fireplace moves with the slightest pressure applied to the top of the unit. 2.) This fireplace is only operational by two On/Off switches on the front (one for lights, one for heat). There is no remote control of any kind, so if you want the heat or even just the lights of the fire on, you have to walk to the unit to turn it on and off. That can also pose a danger if someone forgets to turn it off before leaving the room, or if a small child turns it on without the adult realizing it. If those two items weren’t a factor, this fireplace would get 5 stars from me!

The fireplace is very pretty and has a realish marble design. The heat feels great and it works great to warm up the room! It feels durable enough and should last a good few years. I really enjoy the safety feature that monitors the temperature of the plug to be sure it doesn’t overheat.

Although not including a tool list on the instructions - it took a little over an hour for my very experienced spouse to put together. The “marble” looks cheap and thin and “wood” mantle looks plastic. This also did come a bit scratched and wasn’t exactly the product i selected. Regardless- it is a beautiful piece for the home if you’re going for a more modern or farmhouse look and will make a great piece for some stockings during the holidays. The heating setting was nice and warm and light with no heat is a great feature to help it be useful all year round for those nights you want the ambiance of a fire minus the heat.

Overall its amazing with its features such as the heat is very noticeable and nice and the usage of buttons is very handy.

Firstly I will say if you don't have much knowledge of construction this could be a tad tricky to navigate. One of thr bords I received the holes were stripped and I ended up having to create my own holes and go to the store and buy correct size nails. It was a bit frustrating. After that it was smooth sailing. The heating element works great and puts out quite a bit of Heat. Enough that it can replace my wall heater. It has a modern look and the mantle is beautiful. Once turned on it gave out a nice fireplace feel cozy and perfect for winter months to enjoy. Besides the installation I can recommend this fireplace to anyone searching for a lovely edition.

I also love, that it is made of wood!! Its features are also pretty cool, being able to control the size of the flames as well as having a timer is a plus!! My biggest problem with this is that there is no full back panel which means it HAS to be up against a wall. Overall I think this is a great product and an amazing addition to my small apartment!
