Description

Tulips are the indispensable blooms of the spring garden, as they bring it to life! They are unique in the range of size, shape, and bold color found in almost every color spectrum, that only tulips provide. Tulips are suitable for a wide range of plantings, are excellent in the rock garden, in formal beds, as elegant cut flowers, and for containers. They can be used in nearly any garden design scheme. Flowers are upward facing, with linear to lance-shaped green leaves on the stem. Tulip descriptions can become quite technical, as they are grouped into 15 different divisions, describing the petals, stamens, and leaves in detail. Plant several different varieties of tulips throughout the garden to extend the blooming time.
Parrott tulips are so called for their heavily frilled and scalloped, feathery-edged blooms, which make them truly unique. Very famous almost-black tulip variety, late blooming, and a heirloom dating back to 1937.

Gotta wait til Spring

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a large package of these free to try. I planted them in large pots around my patio since you're supposed to put them in soil in the fall. I guess we'll have to wait until Spring to see if they bloom. Fingers crossed!

Can’t wait!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can’t wait for my Black Parrot tulip bulbs to pop up this spring! They look absolutely gorgeous, and will add such an interesting and unique pop to all my tulips that come up in the spring. The bulbs came nicely packaged and all ready to be placed in the ground this fall. The dark purple color of these tulips are beautiful, and the parrot lacing around the edges gives them some lovely texture. I wish that it was spring already so I could see them! I love that I will get to enjoy them year after year.

I’m super excited

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These look absolutely stunning in the photos. We just finished planting these for the Spring bloom. They came whole and looked in good shape. I sure hope they bloom and give my landscape a beautiful view. I love flowers and these are super unique.

Stunner tulip

Crazy For These Tulips!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am an avid gardener, so I'm psychotically excited about these bulbs!!! These have to be the best bulbs I've gotten is ages. Usually when I receive bulbs via the mail, they're dried out, damaged, and don't grow because of it, but these arrived in perfect shape, and ready to pop in the ground. I am so impressed with their condition. And gosh, I admit to staring at them after planting, as if I could make these beauties magically pop up overnight, I'm so smitten with them! Hurry up, Spring, I want to see these gorgeous tulips! I keep going to the site to stare at the pics I'm so excited!!!
