A: This tree topper needs to be used with the included AC/DC power adaptor (the removeable electrical plug). DO NOT connect this to any other product without the adaptor, even if they both use the same round low voltage plug. Using this item without the included adaptor may damage the product. If you have a light string with a standard female outlet plug on the end, you can connect this tree topper to it. Otherwise, you will need to plug it into an outlet or an extension cord. I love it! The twinkling is perfect. You can tell in one of the stock photos that it has some depth to it so it doesn’t look cheap in person like it does in some of the photos. It was a little hard to get it to balance but they’re all like that. Cord is long enough to plug in to surge protector in the event you have an artificial tree without a string of lights to plug it into. Looked everywhere for a cute tree topper and very happy I found this one!
