The space is to paint within were large enough for my daughter to work and she is five years old. The colors were bright and brilliant and the paint went on easy and washed off very easily from Hands and the tablecloth we were using. The kit comes with six different acrylic paint colors. It’s also super helpful if you’re just beginning painting because acrylic paint can be expensive and you’re given black, green, blue, pink, yellow and white in this kit plus three brushes. I also think it would likely be a nice gift for an older elementary school aged student. This kit is a really lightweight item.
