A: This tree topper MUST be plugged into a standard outlet or extension cord with the included AC/DC adaptor. This is stated in the instructions. If you connect the tree topper to another product using the round low voltage connection without the adaptor, you will likely damage or destroy the lights on the tree topper, and possibly the lights that you have connected them to.
