[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This stoneware dinnerplate is solid and sturdy. While definitely still white the color is a shade more yellow than the stock photo shows. The shape is somewhat asymmetrical and imperfect which gives the plate a rustic look. If your kitchen is the sort that has a lot of wicker, rattan and stone these plates would fit right in.

Threshold is a great brand and I love the quality I always get with their items. The price point is on the higher side for a dinner plate but it’s totally worth it with the quality and heavy duty of these plates. The size is perfect for any meal.

The edges are not totally circular so it makes it look like pottery or custom stoneware. I like that it doesn’t scratch easily when using knives on it. It’s microwaveable and works fine!

The circumference of this plate is nearly identical to others, but I did notice the plate is not a perfect circle. It has very slight perturbations from a true circle. However, I did find it useful that this plate feels sturdier than others and doesn’t seem that it will or could break or chip as easy as other brands. I think it’s priced appropriately and will be a request from others whom use it at your home to know where they can get plates like it! As you can see, it’s my new favorite dessert plate because it makes me feel fancy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely adore this plate from Threshold. The color is the perfect shade of creamy beige, much deeper beige than the name suggests. Sour cream is basically winter white, or the color of water crackers. This is the color of good French Vanilla ice cream. I like the finish of the glaze, because the plate looks more expensive than the retail price. It's both shiny and matte at the same time, think eggshell wall paint. The plate itself has heft to it, but you can safely stack these in your cabinet without killing the shelf. Going back for more!

The plate is not perfectly round, but instead slightly irregular giving it that handmade unique feel. This plate is the perfect size- not too big, not too small. I plan on purchasing the entire set. It’s weighty but not too heavy, and I love to touch it and look at it’s beautiful sheen. The plate is a grippy but not gritty texture that makes it hard to slip even out of the hands of small children. It is a very study dish because I’ve knocked it, dropped it into the sink and cut vegetables directly on it with a steak knife and it still looks and feels like new. I’m usually the kind of person who thinks a plate is a plate is a plate, but this is a plate that makes me look forward to using it.

There is a glossy finish to the plate and the egg white color is so neutral and what’s with anything that you have planned for lunch or dinner. The plate is heavy because it has made of porcelain . From far away they look like plain white dinner plates but up close it is just a touch warm and off white which creates a very cozy mood and they are a little thicker in some parts, a little thinner, the shape just a little bit irregular on purpose. It makes the plate look like a handcrafted artisan showpiece which adds to the warmth and texture. It feels very lived in and eating from something like that makes the food feel more homemade if that makes sense. The stoneware feels higher quality and weightier than my current dishes and I feel that a set would be well worth the investment.

It is a really big plate as you can see my large hand over it for size comparison. It is dishwasher safe and microwave safe which are both a requirement for me to even want to use a plate. The off-white eggshell color is nice and it pairs perfectly with any other color or pattern china that you have. The stoneware is nice and durable. It washes up simply and easily with no food sticking to it so no heavy scrubbing is needed. It's both microwave safe and dishwasher safe. Great quality plate, I love it!
