Q: How heat-resistant is this measuring cup? Can one put boiling water into the measuring cup?

A: These seem to made from the same material that old PYREX was made from. Lower case purex is now more prone to thermal shock because it is made from tempered glass.

Do not recommend.
The measuring cup itself is good quality however all of the measurements have come off. Says it’s dishwasher safe and we use a combo of both hand and dishwasher washing. We don’t use our measuring cups beyond normal use and all 3 of the figment glass measuring cups I purchased are missing all of the measurements so not usable at all. Started coming off shortly after purchasing each of them. Do not recommend.

Did now do well in the dishwasher.
After a few dishwasher cleanings, the measurement marking were no longer visible! If you're willing to hand wash, it's a nice measuring cup. I expect an item listed as ok for dishwasher to be able to tolerate the dishwasher.

Not worth it
Measurements have faded off the cup after 5 months of use. Also, the handle is too close to the base. If you have a hot liquid in it you end up burning your hand because you have to hold the tiny handle with your fingers pressed against the base.

I regret this purchase. Numbers wash off, pouring is terrible, and then at the slightest touch against a pot the spout broke off and fell into the water. I didn't even notice it until I looked into the pot and saw what looked like ice in the water. It was glass. Do not buy this brand measuring cup.

You probably shouldn't buy these
I've been using these measuring cups for 2 months now - both the 1 cup and 4 cup. Neither pour very well, often pouring liquid down the side of the vessel and onto my countertop. I mainly handwash these, especially since I saw the marking washing off. I love a lot of figmint's kitchen supplies but this one need some improvement. Pyrex or Anchor Hocking are better choices for liquid measuring cups in my opinion.

Probably a bestseller due to the price. It doesn’t pour liquid. It’s frustrating when unknown portion measured liquid winds up on the counter.
